Review of the 2024/2025 CDCFIB Recruitment Process

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) operates under the Federal Ministry of Interior and is in charge of four (4) paramilitary agencies. The board is majorly responsible for recruitment intake for these agencies and the 2024 – 2026 process were as follows:

  • Application stage: The CDCFIB online portal www.recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng was opened in 2025 for application into Civil Defence, Immigration, Fire and Correctional Service.
  • Computer-Based Test (CBT): After the application deadline, applicants were shortlisted for CBT exam which took place in November 2025 at assigned centers across the country.
  • CBT Shortlist and Online verification: Shortly after the Computer Based Test (CBT), the Board through her secretary released a statement announcing that shortlisted candidates should log in to CDCFIB recruitment portal between 15 and 20 June 2026 to carry out online verification which featured confirming their status, upload documents, and select a preferred physical screening date and venue.
