How to Check CDCFIB Shortlisted Candidates 2026
Whether you’re using a mobile phone, iPad or laptop, follow the steps below to check if you’ve been shortlisted for CDCFIB physical screening 2026.
- Open your browser and login to CDCFIB shortlist portal (recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng)
- Click the shortlisted applications tab
- Scroll through to locate the list
- Click the “check shortlist status” button
- Enter your registered email address, NIN or application number
Immediately a dialogue box will pop-up indicating if you’ve been shortlisted or not. If shortlisted, details about your screening date, venue and time will be displayed.
Overview of CDCFIB and 2026 Recruitment Exercise
The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) was established by the Federal Government of Nigeria to oversee recruitment into Nigeria’s key paramilitary agencies.
In 2026, the CDCFIB recruitment exercise drew the attention of hundreds to thousands of interested and eligible Nigerians. This was publicly made known by the body as over 1,000,000 candidates submitted applications.
The process has several stages which ranges from application, shortlisting, CBT aptitude test, physical screening and document verification phase etc. You must understand that only candidates who passed the CBT aptitude test would be considered for physical screening.
When is CDCFIB Physical Screening 2026?
The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) have announced that physical screening for all shortlisted candidates will hold from Monday, 15th to Saturday, 20th June 2026. Time is 7:00am till 5:00pm daily.

Requirements for the CDCFIB Physical Screening
Note that the physical screening is all about fitness checks and document verification. Here’s how the process goes.
Physical Fitness
To join either of the paramilitary force, CDCFIB requires that candidates meet the following physical criteria:
Height:
- Male candidates must be at least of 1.65 metres tall while minimum for female applicants is 1.60 meters.
Chest Measurement (Male only): 0.87 metres
- Candidate must have no deformities that could impede the training process
- Both male and female candidates must have no tattoos or body marks in visible areas
- Shall present medical report from a government-recognized health facility.
Mandatory Documents for CDCFIB Physical Screening
Every candidates shortlisted for the physical screening must report with both original copies AND photocopies of the following documents neatly arranged into separate folders.

Official Dress Code for CDCFIB Physical Screening
- Plain white round-neck T-shirt
- Plain blue or black shorts or trousers (as specified on your invitation slip)
- White canvas or cover shoes
Inability to adhere to the dress code may result in denial of entry to the screening venue.
Common Mistakes to Avoid During CDCFIB Screening
To protect your chances of getting selected, avoid these pitfalls:
- Arriving late: We recommend you arrive the screening venue at least one (1) hour earlier.
- Missing documents: Confirm that all your documents are complete before leaving the house.
- Wrong dress code: It is important to maintain the designated dress code, do not take chances by doing otherwise. Â Â
- Not printing your invitation slip: It is mandatory to print your invitation slip, thus, confirm you have it with you before leaving for the screening exercise.
- Falsifying documents: This attracts legal consequences thus ensure that all documents presented are true copies.
