CDCFIB Physical Screening 2026 Update

The Civil Defence Correctional, Fire and immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) open portal from 15th – 20th June 2026 for candidates to verify their documents ahead of the physical screening which actually commenced from 22nd June 2026 across designated centers in all 36 states of Nigeria.

The board assessed candidates’ physical fitness in the following areas:

  • Validating the originality of their academic certificates and documents.
  • Heights were measured in line with specified minimum.
  • Basic health checks like blood pressure and vision
  • Name and other vital information provided during application

Results of the physical screening would be published online at the official CDCFIB recruitment portal.

Here are the major things that takes place immediate after the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire Service and Immigration services Board concluded the physical screening for 2026.

1. The Results Consolidation Phase

Once physical screening concludes in all the 36 states of Nigeria, the CDCFIB do consolidate three independent datasets which are your Computer-Based Test (CBT) score from November 2025, document verification status and your physical fitness assessment.

This would all be done in line with the Federal Character principle and the three (3) elements merged into ranked lists according to cadres i.e. Superintendent, Inspector, Assistant and Specialist role etc.

The consolidation process could take several weeks and during this period, nothing is communicated to candidates whether through SMS or email. At the end, candidates who do well in those three (3) stages will be invited/shortlisted for screening.

2. Training

The date, time and venue for training shall be communicated for all shortlisted candidates via the official CDCFIB recruitment portal, SMS or email. Once medical clearance is confirmed, successful candidates are requested to report at designated. The training usually takes about six (6) months and it follows a structured curriculum mixing classroom instruction, physical drills, and use of weapon/equipment.

CDCFIB Recruitment Timeline from Screening to Deployment

  • June 22 – 30, 2026: Physical screening in all 36 States of the Federation.
  • July – August 2026: Results consolidation and ranking of candidates.
  • August – October 2026: Budgetary approval process at the federal level and then appointment letters issued to successful candidates.

Always ensure you make provision for your personal belongs and transport fare throughout the process. Avoid paying anyone for assistance, or employment verification because canvasing will result to automatic disqualification.
