Qualification Required for Announced Vacancies

The general requirements were:

• Applicant must be a Nigerian citizen by birth.
• Should be medical, physically and psychologically fit.
• Must be at least 1.58m tall.
• Have no pending criminal case.
• Pregnant women were not permitted to apply.
• Must have either NIN, driver’s license or voter’s card.
• Certificate of origin and Birth certificate/age declaration.

Is FRSC Shortlisted Candidates 2026 Out?

No, as of 7th July 2026 application for announced vacancies is still being submitted at www.recruitemnt.frsc.gov.ng. Thus, the names of shortlisted is not yet out. The PDF list shall only be published few weeks after the application poral is closed.

Sequel to this, candidates are to ignore any broadcast, social media post or article that might project that the 2026 FRSC shortlist PDF is out. Immediately the list is ready, it shall be published online at the official FRSC recruitment portal.

Important! While awaiting the release of FRSC shortlist, understand that the checking and every other stages of the recruitment exercise is free of charge.

When Will FRSC Release 2026 Recruitment Shortlist?

As of July 2026, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) have not officially announced a date for the release of shortlisted candidates. Based on our close observation of the previous years recruitment exercise, here’s how the sequence flows:

1. First, the application phase has to come to an end and in this case, it is between 31st July to 3rd August 2026.
2. FRSC human resource department will carefully review all submitted application to ensure they meet with the eligibility criteria earlier stated.
3. Your information on NIN database ad academic documents uploaded will be juxtapose for consistency.
4. Once the review is concluded, the full list of successful candidates for the computer-Based Test (CBT) shall be released.
5. Shortlisted candidates who write the CBT will be tested on Verbal Reasoning, Numerical Reasoning, General Knowledge, Road Safety Regulations and Traffic law etc.
6. Subsequent updates shall be communicated to all successful candidates via email, phone number or the official FRSC recruitment portal (recruitment.frsc.gov.ng).

How to Check FRSC Shortlisted Candidates 2026

By default, candidates selected for the CBT exam will receive either an email or SMS notification. However, a PDF compendium contains names of all shortlisted candidates will be published online. Follow these steps to download and check.

• Visit the official careers portal at www.recruitment.frsc.gov.ng
• Navigate to vacancies on the menu tab
• Scroll through to locate “list of successful candidates for 2026 recruitment”
• Click to download the PDF file
• Open the file and carefully search for your name.

What to do after checking FRSC Shortlist

Once your application has been approved and you’re selected for the Computer Based Test, do the following.

• Prepare all the documents/certificates you uploaded during registration. Put the originals in a separate folder, make photocopies and also put in a separate folder.
• Prepare for the CBT examination by making further research and also practice strategic materials like the FRSC recruitment past questions and answers.
• Monitor your email for subsequent updates.
• Avoid canvassing as this fill result to automatic disqualification.
• Do not present fake certificates or documents during screening.
