Facts to Note about NAF Selection Interview List 2026

As officially published by the Nigeria Air Force director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, the follow has been confirmed:

• The Air Force Military School shortlisted candidates for the JSS1 selection interview into AFMS, AFGMS Jos, and other NAF Secondary Schools for the 2026/2027 academic session is officially out.
• The list can be downloaded online for free at www.airforce.mil.ng or www.nafec.org.ng.
• Shortlisted candidates must get their interview invitation letters from their preferred NAF secondary school starting Monday, 6 July 2026.
• The selection interview for both AFMS and AFGMS Jos shall be conducted in two batches: Batch One covers candidates from Abia to Kano States which will commence 3 to 7 August 2026, while the second batch is Katsina to Zamfara States and is slated for 7 to 11 August 2026.
• Candidates who want to gain admission into other NAF Secondary Schools in Nigeria shall be interviewed on 18 August 2026.

2. Scroll download and click the name of preferred NAF secondary school
3. Download the PDF, open and carefully check for your ward’s name.

An alternative to this is to visit the nearest NAF secondary school notice board as the full interview shortlist have been pasted there as well.

Note: On the NAFEC portal, candidates will be required to use a result checker tool to verify their entrance examination result before they can access a downloadable interview letter be.

Documents Required for Air Force Military School Interview

All shortlisted candidates are required to report for the interview with the following:

• Original and photocopies of their birth certificate.
• Original and photocopy of the entrance examination registration slip or examination number confirmation.
• Recent Passport photograph.
• Interview invitation letter
• Seven Thousand Naira (N7,000) for boarding fee.
• Photocopy of NIN slip.
• POR publication, Part II order and letter of introduction from NAVSEC in respect
• of birth (candidates of military parentage only)
• Testimonial certificate as evidence of completion of Primary 6
• Biro, pencil, sharpener and erase
• A file jacket to contain all documents listed above
• One blanket and one bed sheet with pillow case
• Tooth brush/paste, plastic cup and a plate

What Happens at the Interview

According to the previous NAF Secondary Schools interview exercises, candidates will go through several stages like document verification, a general fitness or physical assessment, and an oral interview covering simple questions about the candidate, their family background, education and interests etc.
