The aim of this recruitment exercise is to fill open vacancies in both primary and junior secondary schools across the State especially in rural communities. This news was publicly made known as the Ministry of Education Permanent Secretary Maryam Yahaya Shantali.

What is Zamfara State 3,050 Teachers Recruitment Portal?

The official portal where candidates can submit application for the ongoing Three Thousand and Fifty (3,050) basic school teachers recruitment in Zamfara State is recruitment.zamfara.gov.ng. Hard copy applications won’t be accepted, same goes with applying through a third-party website.

Application Open Date and Deadline

According to the official recruitment advert, applications for the Zamfara State 3,050 basic school teachers’ recruitment will begin on Thursday, 2 July 2026 and close on Thursday, 16 July 2026 at 11:59pm. This means interested and eligible persons have at least two (2) weeks to submit application.

Who is Eligible to Apply?

The general eligibility criteria and qualifications checklist to pass from application phase to getting shortlisted for the Computer-Based Test (CBT) are as follows:

  • Applicant must be a Nigerian citizen and indigene of Zamfara State.
  • Should be within 18 and 35 years at the time of application.
  • Should hold either a National Identity Card, Voter’s Card or International passport etc.
  • Must possess State of origin certificate.
  • Should be able to communicate fluently in both written and verbal form of English Language.
  • Should be one passionate about teaching especially at the basic stage.

Academic and professional qualifications

  • Applicant must hold either NCE, HND, B.Ed / B.Sc (Ed) / B.A. (Ed), or B.Sc / B.A.
  • Those with a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) have an added advantage.
  • Applicant must be a registered member of the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) and possess a certificate as evidence.
  • HND or Degree holders shall present either their NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.

Automatic disqualification is applicable where a candidate does not meet the above requirements, submits incomplete application, uploads false documents, submits multiple applications or tries to canvass in any form.

  2. Select “Apply Now” then scroll to the button of the page and click “start application”
  3. Create your account on the portal first using your email address, NIN and preferred password.
  4. “Start Application” to begin.
  5. Enter your Bank Verification Number (BVN) and National Identification Number (NIN).
  6. Next, fill your personal information like name, date of birth, place of birth, gender and residential address.
  7. Next, fill your origin information like State, LGA, District and Nationality.
  8. Enter your contact information
  9. Select preferred position; Basic School Teacher, NCE Specialist teacher, Graduate teacher.
  10. Select course of study, institution attended and year of graduation.
  11. Finally, enter any password of your choice and submit application.

What Happens After You Apply

After the application deadline Thursday, 17th July 2026. The Zamfara State Government through the Ministry of Education will review submitted applications and then release names of candidates shortlisted for the computer-Based Test (CBT).
