How to Check NPF Shortlist 2026 for Medical Screening

The names of shortlisted candidates for the 2026 NPF medical screening was released on 11 May 2026. Here’s how to confirm your status:

  1. Visit the official PSC recruitment portal https://npfapplication.psc.gov.ng
  2. Log in using your NIN or email address and password used for NPF application.  
  3. Con your dashboard, click “medicals status”
  4. Immediately a dialogue box will pop indicating if you’ve been shortlisted or not.
  5. To download the PDF, open the recruitment portal
  6. Click vacancies on the menu
  7. Scroll to locate “2026 shortlist for Medical Screening”
  8. Download the PDF, open and search for your name.

We recommend you print the invitation slip after confirming your status. Print at least two (2) copies. One will be for NPF screening officials while the other is for your record.

The NPF shortlist for medical screening is usually released in batches, so if your name isn’t showing today, check back after 24 to 48 hours.

If after checking for several times, your name does not still reflect, then you did not make the medical screening shortlist for this batch.

Who is Eligible for NPF Medical Screening 2026?

The Nigeria Police Force recruitment screening is not just for anyone, below are the criteria that qualifies you for the shortlist:

  • Candidate must have submitted online application form for NPF recruitment at npfapplication.psc.gov.ng
  • Must have participated in the physical screening exercise that took place form 9th March to 18th April 2026.
  • He or she must have passed the computer-Based Test (CBT) that was held from 28th to 30th April 2026.

Missing any of the above stages automatically disqualifies you for medical screening.

Documents Required for NPF Medical Screening 2026

If you have been shortlisted for the screening exercise, this is not the time to improvise because if you missing any document gives ground for immediate disqualification.

  • Printed Medical Screening Invitation Slip (must be downloaded from npfapplication.psc.gov.ng)
  • Your acknowledgement slip which must contain your application or reference code.
  • Original NIN card or slip
  • Original copies of your WAEC, NECO, or GCE certificate  
  • Birth certificate or Age Declaration from a court of right jurisdiction
  • State of Origin certificate
  • LGA identification letter
  • Recent passport photographs with white background
  • Additional qualifications such as OND, HND, BSc, and NYSC etc.

It is important to carry both originals and photocopies of the aforementioned documents.

What to look out for at NPF Medical Screening Test 2026

  • General health check: Doctors assigned by the Nigeria Police Force will assess your overall health to ascertain there is no underlying chronic illness like diabetes, hypertension, or serious heart conditions etc.
  • Vision test: Sight is an important asset for NPF officers as such candidates will be tested for short or long sightedness issues.
  • Hearing assessment: Basic hearing tests will be conducted to confirm there is no underlying hearing loss problem.
  • Cardiovascular fitness: Blood pressure will be measured and also heart rate checks will be done. Taking energy drink or excessive caffeine before your screening is prohibited.
  • Musculoskeletal assessment: This part of the test is to confirm your posture, limb structure, and overall physical mobility.
  • Drug and substance test: The use of drugs is highly prohibited for police officers thus candidates will be screened to confirm there is no abuse or usage of such.
  • Practical tips: sleep well the night before, eat a light meal, wear comfortable clothing you can easily change out of, and arrive at least 30 minutes early. Stress and poor preparation affect results.

What Happens After Medical Screening?

After the medical screening is concluded, successful candidates would undergo the Nigeria Police Force training/orientation program. Those who sial through shall be offered appointment letter and then deployed to duty post.
