The Federal Polytechnic Ukana was officially established by the Federal Government of Nigeria in 2014. The school situates at Km 5, Ikot Ekpene-Abak Road, Ukana, Essien Udim Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State. Qualifications and Requirements

Academic Staff

• Chief Lecturer (CONPCASS 9): Candidates interested in this position must have a PhD and at least 15 years of relevant work experience. Applicant with Master’s degree must have 18 years relevant experience. Evidence of academic publications shall be required.
• Principal Lecturer (CONPCASS 8): Interested applicant must hold a PhD and have an accumulative 12 years cognate work experience. Candidates with Master’s degree can apply but must have up to 15 years similar work experience. Working as a Senior Lecturer and having record of published research is pivotal.
• Senior Lecturer (CONPCASS 7): Persons interested in this role must hold a PhD while possessing a minimum of 9 years work experience. Those with Master’s degree can apply but with at least 12 years of relevant teaching, research, or industrial experience.
• Lecturer I (CONPCASS 6): PhD holders with three or more years of similar work experience can apply. Also, Master’s degree holders with at least six (6) years’ work experience can apply. Graduates with B.Sc. (1st class or Upper-Class Division) with at least six years relevant experience may also qualify.
• Lecturer II (CONPCASS 5): This position is most suitable for a Master’s degree holder or equivalent professional qualification. Applicant is expected to have a minimum of three years’ related work experience. Persons with first degree (minimum Second-Class Lower) plus six years of post-qualification teaching, research, or industrial experience can also apply.
• Lecturer III (CONPCASS 3): This role is open to Master’s degree holders with/no experience. Candidates B.Sc. second class lower who have completed NYSC and are willing to pursue postgraduate qualifications can apply.
• Assistant Lecturer (CONPCASS 2): Applicants with Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline from any accredited tertiary institution can apply. Completing the one (1) NYSC programme is mandatory and should also be willing to pursue postgraduate qualifications.
• Technologist II (CONPCASS 2): HND holders who possess NYSC discharge certificate or exemption letter can apply.
• Instructor (CONPCASS 2): Applicant must hold at least HND in any relevant academic discipline or an equivalent technical qualification, with relevant years of practical experience. NYSC discharge is mandatory.

Non-Academic Staff

• Procurement Officer I (CONTEDISS 8): This position is open to both degree and HND holders. Academic discipline must be related to Purchasing and Supply, Business Administration, or a related field. Professional qualification (e.g., CIPS or equivalent) would be an added advantage.
• Confidential Secretary I (CONTEDISS 7): Applicant of this role must possess a degree or HND in Secretarial Administration or Office Technology and Management. Must also be proficient with shorthand and typing.
