- Persons who are 18 – 35 years and indigenes of Nigerian citizens by birth with valid National Identity Number (NIN) can apply.
- Irrespective of the cadre, applicants are expected to have at least five (5) credit units in either WAEC, NECO, GCE or NABTEB including English Language, Mathematics etc.
- Persons applying for Inspectorate Cadre must have National Diploma (ND) or Nigerian Certificate of Education (NCE) in addition to the above.
- While Superintendent Cadre applicants must have either Higher National Diploma (HND) or Bachelor’s Degree (B.Sc.).
- Acceptable academic discipline includes Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or any other related course.
- Applicant must be medically, physically and psychologically fit. Those with HND or B.Sc. shall present their NYSC discharge certificate or exemption letter.
