About Federal College of Education (Technical), Gombe
Federal College of Education (Technical), Gombe was originally founded in 1977 as a National Technical Teachers College. The school’s mantra was and is still to train technical, vocational, and science teachers for Nigeria’s primary and secondary schools. The school runs Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) programmes while partnering with Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University for relevant degree-level programmes.

The Governing Council of the College seeks to fill two (2) principal positions as follows:
1. College Librarian
As the College Librarian, you will be the one to administer and coordinate all library services across the institution teaching units.
Requirements to apply:
- Applicant must be a Nigerian and possess valid National Identity Number (NIN).
- Must be a professional librarian with unquestionable character.
- Applicant must have a Bachelor’s degree and Master’s in Library Science (MLS).
- Should have at least fifteen (15) years of relevant work experience and be a member of relevant professional body.
- Applicants with PhD in Library and Information Science have an added advantage.
- Applicant must be proficient in Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
- Preferably, applicant must have worked as a Chief Librarian or Deputy Librarian at least five (5) years.
- Maximum application age is fifty-nine (59) years.
2. College Registrar
The College Registrar shall serve as secretary to the governing council and academic board amongst other responsibilities.
