Is Renewed Hope Employment Initiative Phase 3 Ongoing?

Yes, currently the Renewed Hope Employment Initiative (RHEI) phase 3 registration have commenced and the application portal nderegistrationportal.ng is now active. This phase III aims to tackle unemployment by training eligible Nigerian youths in vocational, technical, agricultural and digital skills. In all, at least 21,824 persons would benefit across all thirty-six (36) States of the federation.

Beneficiaries, will be paid monthly stipends, and this payment will come from the federal government through the National Directorate of Employment (NDE).

The Four Programme Departments

The Renewed Hope Employment Initiative (RHEI) phase 3 is organised into four (4) core intervention areas:

• Rural Employment Promotion (REP): This aspect mainly focuses on agricultural training such as vegetable farming, poultry, irrigation farming, goat and sheep rearing, rabbitry, snail farming, bee keeping, and organic farming methods etc.
• Small Scale Enterprises (SSE): This targets persons who wants to venture into entrepreneurship, it serves like a counselling clinic for entrepreneurs facing operational challenges, also for those looking to start or expand a business, and offers required skills to foster women in food processing, catering, and confectionery etc.
• Special Public Work (SPW): This aspect of the programme trains artisans in trades such as plumbing, carpentry, masonry, paint production, and aluminium fabrication etc. It also provides graduate coaching scheme where graduates are given the opportunity to prep JAMB, WAEC, and NECO exam candidates.
• Vocational Skills Development (VSD): This aspect carries out short course in soap making, perfume making, bead making, community-based training in electrical work and fashion design etc. Persons with disability that select this aspect of the programme. Additionally, top skills like digital marketing, basic cloud computing and AI scheme have been added.

Who Can Apply for NDE RHEI Phase 3?

The main criteria that make you eligible to register for the ongoing Renewed Hope Empowerment Initiative phase III are as follows:

• First, you must a Nigerian citizen by birth and also possess a valid National Identification Number (NIN).
• The programme can only accumulate persons from the ages of 18 – 50 years.
• You should be currently be unemployed, underemployed, or seeking to learn a new skill. If you’re a student, or self-employed, ensure you indicate during registration
• You must have an active and accessible email address, valid bank account in your own name, as well as a BVN.
• During registration, you shall provide a recent passport photograph.
• If you have from SSCE, you’re eligible to apply.

Note that the registration is tied to the state you currently reside rather than your State of origin. So, when choosing a training center, it should be in the State you currently stay.

How to Register for NDE PHEI Phase 3 in 2026

Step 1: Create your account. Once you login to the registration portal, click the “apply now” button, enter required information to create the account.

Step 2: Verify your identity with your NIN. The next step is that you will be required to input your 11-digit National Identification Number and the system will retrieve your data.

Step 3: Complete the pre-enrolment assessment. To complete this, simply verify your eligibility status, personal and identity details, bank and BVN information, your state of residence and preferred programme, training centre and a recent passport photograph.

Step 4: Choose your preferred department, scheme and skill set. Depending on the state you select, the list of programmes available there will be shown to you, then select the scheme and center most preferable.

Step 5: Submit application. After completing all required information, simply proceed to download or print out your registration number.
